Tire availability during the competition?

Hi-

Being a low-budget team, we were wondering whether tires (specifically wet tires) are available for purchase/mounting on site during the competition? It would save us some customs/shipping costs and we'd hate to spend 1000$ on something we might not need.

Both Hoosier and Goodyear have trucks at the competition. They charge a bit more, but can have tehm to you in a very short amount of time. You will not have a problem getting tires for the 13" x 6.5" rims that you are running. If you are really really in a bind other teams will always help you out as well.

Contact Goodyear or Hoosier directly to confirm if you are planning on purchasing tires from them, but yes they are typically readily available.

We did this with our rims last year, which we bought from Mid-atlantic motorsports. (the hoosier guy). And we didn't have any problems bringing them back into Canada cause they were on the car http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
