There is an SCCA Solo II event in Birmingham, AL June 22nd (Sunday). For more info visit http://www.alscca.org
There is also a Solo II event the following week in Atlanta, GA. for more info visit http://www.atl-scca.org
Auburn is planning to attend both events with our 2003 vehicle, though I can't guarantee either just yet. Please contact me or post here if you are interested.

We are definitely heading to the June 22nd AutoX in Birmingham.
Any interest in the Atlanta SCCA event from other FSAE teams would make us more interested in making the trip.

Charlie,
Have you guys considered any of the Huntsville events? I know it's a haul, but these guys seem pretty serious up here. I'm trying to convince UAH to take their old car out of mothballs...I'm just asking cause I really wanna see your car and I dont' know if I can justify going to B'ham just to watch autocross http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah we've considered it, we actually went to some in 2000 and 2001. I like the Halloween event, if they still have it.
It's still a LONG way to go. We don't have an official tow vehicle, so it's tough to get people to make the trek.
I think Birmingham is closer to you than us! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Get UAH down there. It's a great way to pick up new sponsors and make people aware of your car.
If you can convince UAH to come to any autox, let me know and we will have a little extra incentive to go. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well I hope to see some of you in the area at one of these events!
Did UAH ever really get thier 03 car project off the ground? I was dissapointed that they didn't make it this year when they were registered. But I never saw any action at the Mid-South meeting or on thier website. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Charlie,
I'm not really a representative for UAH...just wanted to help them out and drive an FSAE car again. Through the grapevine I hear that they really never got very far on the O3 car...their student base seems older, with time-consuming responsibilities like kids and stuff. Hopefully I can get a hold of someone on the team and get them to drag their old car out, though.
