I would say A is the return line, and B is the vent/check valve (or a nipple for routing to the check valve)

I just need enough to tide me over until I need more.

It looks like that tank has a threaded cap on the filler neck. Does anyone know where to get this type of cap, as well as the female part that welds to the top of the filler neck?

Sweet! Thanks a lot. That catalog has exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for.

What kind of wall thickness are most guys running with aluminum tanks. We have welded 20 gauge (0.032") alum. before, and are wondering if that is thick enough? The rules don't seem to say very much on the subject, which is funny.

We had one that thick take a shot from a connecting rod that somehow found it's way out of the motor. It got a nice dent in it and that is it. We used dead soft (T0) for just that reason. It would still make me feal better to have a bladder inside the tank.

I can't help but think "pop can full o' fuel under my ass," but when I run the calcs, it's quite compliant. If it can withstand a decent blow, I don't see any need to go thicker.

Anybody else have 2 cents on wals thickness for 6061-T6 fuel tank?
