New Kodiak Forged Racing Wheels

I am not specifically advertising the new Kodiak wheels, but just informing everyone that they are now selling their wheels with forged aluminum centers. Some problems schools have had with Kodiak previously are the following:
1. Longer than expected lead time.
2. They have not accepted LeTourneau University's purchase orders. (must buy with check or credit)
3. Very high rim. We've had to cut our tires off to remove them.
4. Sometimes heavier than expected.

However, LeTourneau University did receive both sets of Kodiak wheels by competition time. 1 set was destroyed in an accident with a Wal-Mart building (only the rims were destroyed; the centers are fine).

So my question is the following:
In this type of racing, are forged aluminum wheel centers really at an advantage over billet aluminum centers?

Well, the weight loss associated with the forgings better strength properties could be an advantage... Although I think the cost could be prohibitive. How much do theycost?

I think they cost the same amount as their billet wheels, or at least we are paying them the same amount.

We bought the same billet wheels last year, and they weigh about 6 pounds (~3 kg) each.
