Where have you found cheap cones to set up courses with? Cones similar to competition cones seem to be about $7 each. Ouch. We have some very cheap small cones that blow away with a mild wind. We hate them, and we don't have enough anyway. They are still around $1.50 each.

Anybody?

could try and strike a deal with your local SCCA and borrow their solo2 cones when they aren't using them.

Too bad they are a 2 hour drive away... We really need some here. We drive a lot, when we have a car to drive.

Usually the best way is to call up the city or state department that's in charge of transportation or road construction and ask them about local distributor that supplies traffic cones. The cheapest way is to get them locally, shipping cost is way too high.

Yeah, they're not cheap. We just got a bunch of new ones from this place.

Well constructed and good service, but in the $5-6 per range. Worthwhile investment though. We've had a few conekillers on the team.

We got brand new ones at no charge. It saves you getting desperate and stealing from them. And they're shiny!

We just wait for some council roadworks and drive by in a pickup, tossing them in the back... alternately, our campus security has about 2000, they let us have as many as we want every weekend...

Does anyone know how many cones you need to set up decent autocross like course?? Supposing you use them at all important places...

Thanks...

Just "borrow" a few from your town, from a few choice construction sites.
