Just a question asking for a few peoples interpretation of a rule.
"High pressure over 15psi fuel systems must utalize protected hose with either threaded fittings or modern OEM type fittings used without modifications to either the hose or fittings. A hose clamp over a removeable line of any type is not permitted on a high pressure fuel line."
I'm a bit confused by what "modern OEM type fittings" are. Until I read the last sentance of the rule, I assume they mean the barbed fittings that most cars use, with the permantnetly bend (non adjustable) hose clamps in place. ie: no worm gear clamps.
Due to our FPR (a bosch one, with barbed conenctions) not having threaded connections, as well as our fuel pump not having threaded connections, this is a bit of a problem. Do most teams simply spend more and get a pump/FPR with the treaded NPT holes, then use Aeroquip style fittings?
