Hey everyone.

Im just curious how many teams use a flow bench. We have one setup in our shop but its not performing the way it should, the numbers are jumping all over the place.

For those that do, do you use and electronic pressure sensors, computer links, etc. Or do you just use it like a typical monometer setup.

I think manometers is the way to go. I have found digital pressure sensors can go crazy whereas manometers are more steady. Even the most sophisticated flow benches use manometers

Anyways, could you give more info on your current setup? I am currently building a flow bench as well. Do you use pitot tubes to measure the pressure drop? HOw do you calibrate it?
itd be great if u could email me at dsliu@uiuc.edu

I'm interested in some more info as well.
