We're presently getting 100% ethanol from the chemistry lab and mixing it with 94 octane gas at .85 to.15 ratio. I want to know exacltly what will be provided at the competition, the rules don't say much about the fuel except that it's 85% ethanol, what's the other 15%. We would like to run on the much cheaper E85 which contains 15% of "scrap". Whoever is using E85, where d'you get it...what is it?

the sae website has fuel specs on all of the fuels being provided at competition (under formula sae in the student central section)-- it should give you a better idea of what you're looking for

I've checked this information, it doesn't say much about the exact composition of the e85 fuel, but thanks anyway
