We are looking at buying tools for competition. Do we need to bring our own generator, or is electricity supplied at competition? At the human powered submarine competition we had nothing but porta-potties.

It's supplied but it can be a little shady at times. We had a couple of times where we got acidentally unplugged in 02. Shouldn't really need one IMO. This applies to Detroit though as I don't know about the other events.

There is enough electricity for all on Formula Student (UK) , you don't need your own. Except you don't want to play with those weird english plugs. Why the hell there is another electrical safety device (how do you call this part?) in the plug??
