Well everyone, the time is here. We're packed up and taking off tomorrow, and I imagine most of the west coast schools are doing the same. Safe journey to everyone, and I look forward to seeing all the teams in Pontiac.

Safe driving to the left coast folk, and best of luck to all as you get ready to hit the road. We're likely leaving Tuesday noon, which usually inevitably means Tuesday 6pm, depends how fast the body paint is drying.

Look forward to meeting you all in person. Feel free to drop by the Cornell paddock at any time. Really, we're nice people. Crazy as loons, sure, but nice. Most of us, at least. Stay away from the ones foaming at the mouth, and you're probably cool.

Just watch out for those Toronto folk. They all have SARS. Right, Vinh?

Here in Venezuela, we are getting ready to put the car in the BOX, and fly it over via FEDEX. Hopefully it will get there online.

Is any team willing to lend or rent their video beam for our sales presentation???

Thanking in advance....and getting closer to the day we all have been waiting for....

Most teams should have projectors for the presentation - probably easier to ask around when you get there though, since we don't know the order of presentations yet. Pretty well anyone will be willing to help out on that.

As for Toronto, they are good folk and 99.9% guaranteed to be SARS-free. Just to be safe, though, approach them with due care and wholly irrational hyperactively paranoid hypochrondia.

Myself, I'll be following the US government's recommendations for biological warfare and visiting their paddock in a large plastic bubble sealed with duct tape.

We have a bubble free policy in our paddock area Michael. Only the authentic "Bubble Boy" from the movie and orangutans wearing NASA spec or Ferrari F1 compliant bubble suits are allowed.

I dunno. I think I qualify as orangutang. I'm hairy, impishly appealing, have a bright orange ass and enjoy eating others body lice and ticks.

Mike, sounds like you've spent too much time in the paint booth without a mask again... http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I'll be driving through Toronto on my way to Port Hope, Ontario after the competition. I'm going to make sure that my car's air is on "recirculate" and pray that is enough of a precaution to keep me from getting SARS! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

On a serious note: SARS occurs in very limited cases here in Toronto, even though the city has been labelled a danger zone. We are talking about some 50 or so reported cases of infected citizens out of 4 million people.

The University of Toronto Formula SAE Racing Team members DO NOT have SARS or have been anywhere near anybody who would have SARS. We are an extremely friendly team, and I encourage you to come to our paddock to have a chat with us!

As for driving through Toronto w/ your air on re-circ..... that's just silly!

I'm from Toronto and returned home in the midst of the WHO paranoia just to spite them. And go drinking. It's all good.

So, in summary: 1) SARS is an exploded myth; 2) U of T are good folk, so visit them; 3) I am a paint fume huffing orangutang.

Well, that makes three of us... I'm from Toronto too! I'm actually going to visit my Grandparents after the competition. I almost sent an application to UT!

I'm really not afraid of getting sars, come on... out of (literally) 1 billion people in China, only about 200 have died from this disease. More people die in this country in an hour from car accidents. So it would be safe to say that anyone more petrified about getting sars then dying in a car accident is an outright moron, since I don't think many people spend too much time worrying about dying every time they get into their car.

That's my two cents! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
