In the next few weeks I'm planning on making a trip to the spirit aerospace surplus store and picking up some aluminum for the KSU team’s uprights. The quantities can be huge, but the price is dirt cheap at $1.75/lb for aerospace quality aluminum minus the material reports. If anyone is interested in splitting a 7136 bar I may be able to cut it up before shipping it out.

I'm not looking to make any money here; I’m just hoping to help out a few teams. I accept paypal and will charge my cost from the store after tax, paypal fees, and shipping. It should be around $2.5 per pound after I ship through fed ex. If it can fit in a standard rate USPS shipper I’ll pass the savings onto you.

I ask that you have the money ready to go, this is coming out of my pocket before it comes out of yours.

It HAS to fit in my fiancé’s four-door car, so no sheet metal, and nothing much over 100lb.

I don't want to jack with customs, SO NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.

Have you already made the trip? What size bar were you looking at splitting?
