UTA will be hosting the 10th annual "Texas Autocross Weekend" on 9 through 11 July 2010. The original intent was for Texas and Oklahoma schools to get together, but it has grown to a national event with schools from Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Ohio, Canada, Alabama, South Dakota, Florida, Michigan, etc. joining us for a weekend of pure FSAE. This is a time to let your hair down and share secrets and drive each other’s cars.
The venue is an open house Friday afternoon at the UTA shop to view our fleet of 20 cars and to do any last minute repairs. Friday night we will have a social at my house to view videos and play games. Saturday will be a competition at UTA's big lot with a FSAE course in the morning and a SCCA-style course in the afternoon. Texas-style BBQ will be served at lunch. Saturday night will be another event sponsored by Texas Engineering Systems to hear about features of SolidWorks and Cosmos. On Sunday, we will attend the Equipe Rapide monthly autocross held at Pennington Field on their concrete parking lot.
Saturday's driving is open to anyone and will be timed by our local autocross club Equipe Rapide. ER will allow 3 or 4 drivers per car on Sunday.
In the past we have had over 10 schools represented, more than 20 FSAE cars, and over 100 students attend the event. Local spectators and sponsors attend. Some schools attend without cars just to learn.
Please e-mail me directly if you intend to attend. We will handle all details of registration through our own e-mail list.

Well, we said we weren't going to go to FSAE West this year so we could do texas and nationals. But still, money is tight.

I think Akron needs to make a road trip this summer. You may have mentioned it, but is there a limit to how many cars a team can bring.

Awesome, the dates work absolutely perfect for me. With any luck we should have 3 cars there. Now we just need to somehow get our hands on a bunch of money for tires...

KU will have '09 and probably '10 there. Maybe even another older car as well.

Perhaps the '06 car I see every time we race you guys anywhere besides competition? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif We should have our '10 car, possibly our '09 car, and almost without a doubt our '07 car (it took us three years, but by now we have it almost as reliable as most of my daily drivers http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

I wish we had the funds for cool stuff like this... would love to take out 09/10 car down and even the old 06 to see how much abuse it will take still. heck, for something like this the 07 car would even get brought out so everyone can gawk at the wonder that is the Mahle 3cyl that doest run.

I Think UTSA's Gonna try and make it up there with two of our cars... its still a toss up to see if we will have the $ after competition. But we are looking forward to going.
Considering the toronto asian escort (http://www.enjoygoodtimes.com) above mentioned, we can come to the conclusion that to give up wisely is a kind of more toronto escort (http://www.enjoygoodtimes.com) mature life attitude. Though giving up toronto asian escorts (http://www.enjoygoodtimes.com) sometimes is painful and costly,in the long run toronto escorts (http://www.enjoygoodtimes.com) what we gain will definitely far out weight what we lose.

Details for Texas Autocross Weekend 2010
9-11 July 2010
So far, I have indications from the following schools: UTA, UT, KU, UNM, UMC, ISU, and TTU. I haven’t heard from some of the usual suspects: OU, OSU, TAMU, SDSMT, Maryland, Akron, MS&T, Wichita State, LSU, Auburn, Houston, etc. This will be my last posting on FSAE.com. E-mail me if you are interested in attending.
The UTA shop will be open Friday afternoon to view our fleet of 20 cars and to do any last minute repairs or tire changes. Friday night we will have a social at my house to view videos and play games.
Saturday will be a practice at UTA's big lot with a FSAE course in the morning and a SCCA-style course in the afternoon. Saturday's driving is open to anyone and will be timed by our local autocross club Equipe Rapide. Saturday night will be a pizza party sponsored by Texas Engineering Systems to hear about new features of SolidWorks and Cosmos.
On Sunday, we will attend the Equipe Rapide monthly autocross held at Pennington Field on a concrete parking lot. ER will allow 3 or 4 drivers per car on Sunday. They have offered a discount to us so the entry fee will be $12.50.
I have heard from some schools of their intent to attend, but I need all of the details. Here is what I need so I can make arrangements for food, order tee-shirts, etc. I also need to assign numbers for the ER event so I need to know what you are driving. Please get all of this information to me by 28 June.
1. when you will arrive.
2. if you will attend the social Friday night.
3. if you will attend the SolidWorks / Cosmos presentation and pizza party Saturday night.
4. the names of all team members and guests that will be attending.
5. who will want to order a tee-shirt and what size (you will have to pay $10/shirt).
6. who will drive at UTA on Saturday (every driver gets a unique race number for scoring)
7. who will drive at the ER event on Sunday and which car they will drive.
8. what cars will you bring, the year competed, and the number on the side of the car.
There is no registration fee for the activities on Saturday. You will get two meals paid by our sponsors. If you order a shirt you will have to buy it for $10. If you enter the ER race on Sunday you have to pay the $12.50 entry fee.
The recommended event motel is Parkway Inn International. They are located at 703 Benge Drive just off Cooper Street and directly across the street from the UTA track. They have agreed to $59.95 for a room with up to 4 people in the room. I have assured him that there will be no loud parties (he doesn’t trust college students for some reason…). Their local phone number is 817 860 2323. Please make a reservation soon so he can figure out how many rooms to reserve for us. Mention UTA Car Race.

Was a really good time as usual, did as much racing as going to three different autocrosses, costed practically nothing, got to meet and spend a lot of time talking to hardcore FSAE members from a lot of other top teams.
