Hi all
We have a CBR600 F2, 93 model in our car. I was wondering if anyone knows how different the mounting points are on a newer cbr600. Would it be reasonably easy to fit a newer engine into it.

We did that similar switch in 2004. New mounting points are required - motors are not directly interchangeable - the same chassis will not fit. I recommend finding the CAD for the F4i (or F4, same mounting points for both motors). I believe it is in the CAD library as hosted by University of Washington.

The F2 and F3 motors are nearly identical so they will utilize the same mounting points. I have already performed this swap in one of our older cars so I know it works. As for the F4s, they do not share the same mounting points as the F2/3 so some modification will be required.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully to easier to find a f3 rather than f2 in the future
