Hello,

Our team was not able to attend the awards ceremony and banquet after the Michigan event. Usually the rule changes for the following year are announced as well as other important things.
Does anyone know what those were? It is much appreciated. Thanks

Does anybody per chance have a video?

Dan,

It is my understanding from a brief conversation with Mr. Daum that there shouldn't be any major rule changes coming in 2010 from a design perspective. Then again, that was back in April, and I wasn't at the awards ceremony after Michigan either. I believe that Mr. Royce was telling us that they want to improve the quality of reports, however, and I would suspect that there may be some changes coming to how static events/reports are handled and perhaps to the events as a whole.

You're on this forum, so I'll assume that you know about the major (probable) change for next year being the increased costs for event registration.

yea, you will have to make sure you're fuel sight tube is visible from outside the vehicle from a certain distance and height... no big deal

basically, the frame and fuel rule was enough to mix up the competition quite a bit, so there won't be any large rule changes

Has anyone heard any news about the driver helmet clearance and seat back angle? AKA the proposed rule changes from the rules book.

they're not going to do the 30 degree seatback angle

If they make it 30° from horizontal, that should be ok with us http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
