aluminum honeycomb crash attenuator

I'm planning to make a crash test on the aluminum honeycomb crash attenuator, but i still dont know which type of aluminum is better for that, and i dont know how would i decide the dimensions of the honeycomb, like the cell size and the thickness of the sheet. i really would appreciate you help in that.
