Hello
My name is Tal and I'm part of a first year team from Israel.
I'm now working on Planing the intake system and I'm try to choose the right material to fabricate it from.
Me two options now are Aluminum and Plastic. Can any one share his choice of material so I can narrow down my options.
Thanks for your help, Tal

It depends what kind of geometry you are trying to achieve with the intake. If your intake can be made to resemble a box with runners, aluminum might be easier. However, if you happen to be able to injection mold or RP, a more complex geometry is much easier with plastic.

We have used fiberglass, aluminum, plastic, and carbon fiber in the past. Each one has strengths and weaknesses.
