Hey all,

so with only a week to go till Silverstone, one of our Risse Racing Jupiter 5 dampers has stopped working. It was completely locking and any movement we got was spongey. A quick inspection showed serious aeration of the fluid (expected) and that the shaft has a handy kink to it.

Effectively it is unuseable in its current form, and although we are persueing some new dampers which we are praying we might get in time we are desperately seeking a back up plan....

So I wonder if anyone coming to the UK competition might either have A spare Jupiter 5 damper, or an equivalent pair that we can put on the rear - this would obviously be on a 'we break it we bought it' basis.

We are running the 8" Jupiter 5's - we can use either remote or piggyback dampers with no problems.

If anyone has any other ideas for possible solutions all are welcome - this is massively irritating so close to the competition!

many thanks in advance,

B

I'll speak to the guys in the team but i'm pretty sure we used those last year on our first year car. If you PM me your mobile number or direct email address i'll see what we can do. We'll be running our Penske 7800's this year if we get the car built in time..... I'm pretty sure 2 of the guys on our team came and visited you guys a month or 2 ago, so I recon we could work something out.

Cheers
