Just wondering if anyone has worked out the positions to mimize thrust, having a little trouble getting started... any help would be greatly appreciated. We're running a torsen diff and a set-up similar to Taylor Racing for the cv axles/tripods. Thanks!

Personally, when it comes to designing powertrain, I'm all about maximizing thrust.
Then again, kinda depends what thrust you're talking about...

I'm assuming you mean lateral movement of the tripod joint. Just a quick guess: You might want your joint in the plane that gets defined by the three suspension mounting points.
However, I don't think it's worth changing the location of the tripod joints.

Having your drive shaft pointed at your front view instant centers should reduce thrust. After that, its length and lateral endpoint locations should be similar to the a-arm that it is closest to (in a front view sketch). Talk to your suspension guy about controlling bump steer, it's the same thing.
I agree with Thrainer, it's probably not the most important thing to have perfect.
