Description: Project / Design Engineer Intern
Job Purpose: Product Development / ANZE Suspension Development: Design and Develop ANZE Suspension Systems, manage all phases of projects, from design to production.
Engineering Job Duties:
• Design and develop race car struts and shocks
• Research Manufacturing technologies, casting vs. additive manufacturing
• Solid Modeling – Develop models of new and current suspension systems / components using SolidWorks
• Drawing Generation – Produce 2d drawings suitable for production - Must complete drawings through production
• Design, Cost and Manufacturing analysis
• Procedure Layout and Documentation – prepare manufacturing and company test procedures to fully document current business operations
• Sales Support – support sales RFQ for all new project leads
• Shop improvement – Design and implement tooling and fixtures to improve shop workflow and accuracy to reduce lead time and cost of production
• Office improvement – Explore ways to automate CAD or Office procedures
• ERP Support – produce and maintain the part naming and numbering system. Prepare procedure documenting the current part naming and numbering system.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Solid works (preferred) or Similar CAD experience required
• MS Office Suite – Excel proficient
• Experience in Automotive / Racing Background
• Teamwork
• Verbal Communication Skills
