Hello everyone,

I am trying to get some tyre models going for our FS team (Hertfordshire Uni). I have been going over some of Bill Cobb's codes such as the report he provided a while back (Matlab Processing of FSAE TTC Tire Test Data) on TTC Forums. Unfortunately I came across a couple issues that I simply don't understand or can't solve (Matlab rookie), also could be that it was made for round 3 data, if memory serves me right.

The report can be found here: http://www.fsaettc.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=23

I struggle to work out what manipulates the range that the FY and SA are being considered for (which particular sweep is it looking at?) after I have found the zero points of slip angles.

When I ran the code as it was, it also gave me two different plots when I plotted FY vs SA, but I am not sure if it was done to aid the fitting of the spline...

Really confused right now, but I am making baby steps after playing around with some raw data.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's great that you are using the TTC data. However, detailed questions like this belong on the private TTC forums -- that way you can post plots and data, while respecting the TTC data license.
For reference see: http://www.millikenresearch.com/fsaettc.html about 2/3 down the page, the section is titled, "USE OF THE DATA – FSAE TTC LICENSE AGREEMENT".
