Hey Guys! This year we want to minimize our car's drag. One thing that everybody knows is that the back side of the wheel is an area that has a lot of drag. To try to minimize this part's drag and also cool the brakes we thought in assemble a brake duct. Someone know if the brake duct system can help reducing the drag?

Hey Abraaoneves,
you can surely give it a try but i doubt it would make a considerable difference plus integrating it in your wheel assembly may pose a challange.

Abraaoneves,

Are you referring to something like this?

Do you really need this to cool your brakes? How much does this reduction in drag gain you in the competition? Personally the only time I would spend time messing with brake ducts in FSAE is if we found out during pre-comp endurance trials that the brake rotors were undersized and heat was causing fade... generally seems like a massive waste of time otherwise
