Hi guy,

I am having a problem with this formula for effective rotor radius
The first says effective rotor radius : rotor dia/2 - caliper piston dia/2

Where d = rotor inside dia

Hey Adekunle,

I suggest deriving the formules on these pages yourself before just copying them. This will give you a greater understanding of what you are doing and will make you understand the different assumptions these people made.
Furthermore you posted this in the wrong part of the forum and neglected to introduce yourself. If you want people to put effort in to helping you, you'll have to show some effort yourself too.

Pls forgive my manners, my name is adekunle, am a nigerian, a graduate of mech engineering(2014/2015 session) n preparing for my masters study, I want to make fsae part of my study project.

Well i have searched for such derived formulas bt cud find thats y I posted

What he is saying Adekunle, is that as an engineer you should be able to draw a free body diagram and derive your own equations to describe the situation.

Post probably should have ended up in the general FSAE discussion section.
