Hi all.

My name is Luis Ureña, and finally i´ve been able to get an account for this forum (i don´t know what happened with the emails).
I´m member of my formula sae team from 2 years ago. The team is called Nebrija Racing and we´re located in Madrid, Spain.
We´re trying now to build our first formula sae combustion car with a very reduced number of members at the moment.

The team started two years ago with the purchase of a Yamaha 450cc single cylinder engine, and now we´re working for finish the car design.
We are still not finish the design of the car because of the brakes; but its a matter of 1 month.

You can follow us on twitter and FB in the links attached.

I´d like the social networks have more content about the project, but you can ask any doubt you have about the car.

The last render i made.

Luis
Welcome in FSAE forum.
Quick note on your space frame: you will need to add bracing members from the upper support on the front roll hoop back to the upper side impact member connection to the main hoop.

T3.20.2

T3.20.2
The upper support member must be attached within 50mm (2”) of the top surface of the Front Bulkhead, and attach to the Front Roll Hoop within a zone extending 100mm (4”) above and 50mm (2”) below the Upper Side Impact member. If the upper support member is further than 100mm (4”) above the Upper Side Impact member then properly triangulated bracing is required to transfer load to the attachment of the Upper Side Impact member to the Front Roll Hoop.

You will find useful discussions on brake system design here in the forum.
Good luck.

Thanks Ahmad Rezq for your comments.
I´ve reported the issue to the team because we are still on time to make the changes.

Welcome in the world of Automotive Engineering :-). Looks like you still have a lot of work to do defining the car. We at DYNATUNE-XL are seeing an ever growing community
of FSAE Teams using our MS EXCEL based engineering tools that have been developed to help you at the point where you are now with your project. Come have a look at our website
and check out the sponsorship offer we have in place for FSAE Teams: www.dynatune-xl.com

You will find there also a tool for designing your braking system from scratch :-)

Cheers,
