Hi Guys,
I'm currently working for a company based in Dubai that makes a lot of architectural composites with decorative finishes. The companies website is pct.ae
The company is currently looking for a couple of 'Design Engineers', this job mostly involves taking in input information from clients, determining mold geometries, part geometries, finishing processes (anything from painting to tiling to milled and carved wood pieces to specially cast concrete decorations to milled marble) then outputting a bunch of drawings and .igs files. Everything we do is in CATIA so some experience in CATIA is considered essential.
The jobs would quite possibly suit FSAE types who are interested in manufacturing processes and composites and want to work somewhere that they can get out into production and get their hands dirty at times. The company has quite a background in the marine industry, some of the production guys have been involved in Americas Cup and other pretty high end yachts so they really know their stuff as far as composites manufacturing is concerned. Dubai is a pretty sweet place to live (no tax, plenty of social life, don't believe the stuff about there being three single guys to every single girl, awesome weather at the moment, 140km/h speed limits, free entry to the Dubai 24hr race, good karting track).
