Need Help Identifying Car...

Hello, i was wandering if anyone could help identify this car? It kind of looks like an old SAE car but i don't know much about them or any thing about this car. i bought it from a guy from Arizona who didn't know the history of it either. sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, just looking fro info.

How much did you buy it?

A lot of it looks like it might be early Mini Indy or something along those lines, but i'm not sure what they would've used for an engine with that rear box. If you can get it running in any way shape or form it seems like quite a fun project car, and I wish you luck with it.

I'm 100% certain it wasn't the University of Compton's Mini-Indy car...
