Throw darts blindfolded at a drawing of your chassis.

In all seriousness how can you be the suspension head of your team if you have no idea how to even design a basic suspension? Might I suggest a career change.

Nobody is going to give you real input when you ask crap questions like that. Most of us here want to, and are willing help. However, if you have to ask where to mount the control arms, you obviously haven't put ANY effort into doing research.

Kartik,

PLEASE read the teams from India thread. This is really NOT helping you or the other Indian teams. If you are a first year guy talk to your seniors. Consult them before posting here. No one here is jobless enough to answer such broad questions. Use your engineering sense. Why would you mount in one place why not the other? the answer to your question can't be as short as a post on this forum. You might as well ask "How do I win Formula SAE?"

If you are still confused as to why people are responding to you like this please call me 9820490091 I'll be glad to explain and also help you out with the basics of suspension design.

Just think twice before posting. And three times before replying rudely.

@Patclarke:- Is the 3rd spring along with the damper and ARB is used in FSAE car's.

And is the material for ARB is dependent on the calculated value of stiffness of the ARB's

I'm Flabbergasted!

Can we just learn to ignore this guy. Either he is a weirdo who get kicks from pissing people off or just plain stupid.

@Amity FSAE team: if this guy does exist in your team its best for you guys to make him shut up. He's totally not helping your cause. Infact he's making sure you never make it to any international competition ever.

Oh unfortunately I think he really does exist on their team, someone named Kartik is listed on the Xereon team website. If this guy is any indication I don't think they will be making it to any international competitions anytime soon. As they are signed up for California this year and it's really late to not have any idea how to design a suspension.

Although, after some more thought...

Troll status has been fully validated...whether his trolling is driven by boredom or immaturity; i.e. is he a sincerely confused but socially mal-adjusted student or some faker just pulling our leg?

Perhaps if I were a clever troll of the latter type, I might just pull a name off a website, especially one from one of the poor Indian teams that seem to catch so much flak around here. Would anyone from Xereon (or any other team) care to vouch for this troll, or is he some made-up way too bored keyboard jockey? If he's real, I wouldn't be claiming him much longer...with an attitude like that I'd reckon he would do more harm than good.

In a very interesting turn of events our friend Kartik_1 has changed his name to Ramesh_1 and profile is now not having any details.

Looks like a job for the Mystery Gang.

TROLL!
