Frame design

The picture below shows the frame of our car and I want to know if the section shown is against the rules or not.

As far as i can tell that is not against the rules. Our 2013 car had the same thing. It's more a question of design judging.
Don't take our word for it. If you are in doubt you should submit a rules request to the organisation of the competition you are attending. They are very helpful and usually get back to you pretty fast.
