This is a non paying, student level learning opportunity.
The ideal engineering student for this opportunity will have demonstrated expertise in all aspects of Computational Fluid Dynamics model creation, grid generation, solution, and results analysis, access to adequate computational resources, and access to CFD expert engineering guidance. The project is aerodynamic performance and stability analysis for an extremely fast land speed racing car. Follow-on work, if any, will include performance and stability optimization.
The program duration is flexible, to fill the gap between your spring and fall class schedules. No travel is involved. Your job site will be remote.
What you will gain from participating in this program is valuable real world engineering experience to add to your resume, and career guidance from a racing industry expert and FSAE design judge for as long as you want it. Other FSAE engineering students that I have guided currently hold engineering positions at Mercedes AMG Petronas F1, Sahara Force India F1, Lotus F1 Team, Team Penske, and Muscle Milk Pickett Racing. You could be the next to join them.
