regarding emergency shut down buttons, our GLV system current rating is 30amps .If we use shutdown buttons for 30 amps is costly $90.00 so we are planning to use contactors(cheaper $30.00) of 30 amps and controlling these contactors by shutdown buttons 3 amps
suggest the best method because we are new to this event
Hello Bharadwaz,
your question misses some detail, but I guess you´re talking about an EV and the required shutdown circuit..? A small circuit diagram would be helpful to understand what you got and what you want to do - and what your exact question is.
My first thoughts are:
- What does the overall GLV system current got to do with the shutdown circuit, which is just a small part of the GLV system and got to carry the HV contactors current only?
- What kind of contactors do you plan to use that are $30? A 12V/30A automotive relay is much cheaper (< $5) - at least in germany.. But, as mentioned I´m not sure the 30A rating is what´s needed anyways..
