Hey guys,

I'm looking for as much information as I can get on the subject titled above. Step by step instructions can't be found on the internet.

So, can anyone take me through the process for replacing the Honda CBR RR's stock crank wheel with the 12-1 PE Wheel? I mean, how do I go about taking the wheel off? Should I just open the crankcase both sides, hold it one end while unscrewing the crank wheel the other side? We had some trouble doing that, by which I mean it wouldn't turn.

I know the option to cut one tooth off the stock, but we want to not do that.

Do you guys have the manual? It'll tell you how.

Hey Wesley,

We had to import our engine, because Honda 600cc bikes aren't sold too much in India. We didn't get a manual with that.

The engine is 2007 model. And I have a manual I found online for the 2004 model. There are changes between the two I've already noticed, such as radiator plugs.

Why don't you search for a 2007 manual then.

Hi Nishant,

There are a few different ways in which you can remove the trigger.

1) If the engine is on the car, put the engine on the 6th gear and get someone to hold the brake. You can easily remove the bolt with a spanner.

2) If the engine is not on the car, put the engine on sixth gear and get one guy to hold the sprocket bolt head with a ring spanner with a long moment arm. Then you can remove the bolt on the trigger wheel with a spanner having a shorter moment arm

3) If these don wont work, then try the same as the second method except this time the right side crankcase needs to be opened and the crankshaft bolt head needs to be held rather than the sprocket bolt head.

The manual suggests the first method. But I know most teams dont work with the engine on the car so i think 2 or 3 should work.

In each case use a spanner with a shorter moment arm on the trigger wheel bolt and a wooden or nylon mallet.
