hi guys!I've just a question...
in a quasi-static test the impact attenuator must be crushed completely, or can I stop the press before?

That depends on your impact attenuator design. Last year, we were limited by the displacement of the dial indicator on our test so we could only crush ours to about 50%. However, we were using simple aluminum crush core with a linear crush rate, so we were able to reference the manufacturer data proving the material crushes linearly to show that that IA would have passed had we crushed it completely.
However, if you are designing your own IA, you would need to crush it to the point that it has absorbed the required 7350 joules. This may not be the full 100% depth of the IA.
