How much clearance on the inside of various makes of 13" wheels is there? I am designing for 11" of clearance to be on the safe side. Is this too small?

On Kodiak wheel shells you have about 12.25 for the most part. It shrinks to about 11.4 with round features close to where the three pieces mate.

I would buy some wheels (you are going to need those http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) and measure them.

On second thought, call up the wheel companies and get dimensions. I know there were/are? some pdf s of the BBS center and 4 stud wheels on the gMail FSAE account. I'm sure other companies will give you similar files.

Thanks very much John. I am waiting to hear from our engine supplier if we will receive the whole sport quad from which we are using the engine, to know if I will have hubs and spindles to work with, things of that nature, so there are still some variables in my design.
