hey
we r using honeycomb 1/4 3003 Al 5.2 pcf.
crushing strength is coming aruond 164.6 psi using these formulas-
S(crushing)=16.56*(ultimate strength)*(t/D)^1.667 where t is foil thickness (70 microns) and D is cell size. I got my frontal impact area around 210*210 mm^2. (7350/[CRushing strength*stroke]) where 7350J is K.E. of striking mass and stroke is 125 mm using 20g deaccerlation. I have to finalize my design so can anybody let me know if i am correct with my approach?

Thanks
Samy
