Dude, just drive it there, you got time.

YEAH VENEZUELA! I know a guy in Venezuela. Good luck driving through Equador, I heard you get killed and stuff if you drive through there.

Good question Simon. You could probably make arrangements with someone at a local business or college and have it shipped there. I don't know if UMich-Dearborn would be the best choice, as there are event sponsors and colleges closer to the event than us. The Chrysler world headquarters or Oakland University would both be good choices if you had a contact. Someone on this message board might have the right name/number for you.

Oh SHIT, I almost forgot. Simon, bring me some gas. Is it still like $0.12 a gallon down there? Just drive a tanker up here and strap your fsae car to the top of it.

But seriously, if no one can help you out, rent a car/this thing (http://www.chicagoautoshow.com/vehicles/detail.asp?type_id=&make_id=20&vehicle_id=384&image_number=2) and get one of these jobbies http://www.uhaul.com/guide/?equipment=trailer6x12open

That thing is huge (http://www.chicagoautoshow.com/vehicles/detail.asp?type_id=&make_id=20&vehicle_id=384&image_number=4)

Anyway, to sum it up, uhaul shit is cheap and I want gas.

Hello Everyone!

If you are in need of shipping your car to the event site for FSAE Michigan. Please send to the address below and follow directions:

Michigan Proving Grounds
Attn.: Shipping and Receiving (OR Art Fenakiewich if they need to have a contact name)
74240 Fisher Road
Romeo, MI 48065

MPG would prefer that deliveries arrive between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Before noon is always best, of course.

It is very likely that shipments will be stored outdoors, so everything needs to be in weather-tight containers.

Yeah, it would be a pretty long trip to go DOWN there and then UP again to USA. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Ok, so maybe I was a little messed up. I was thinking of my friend who actually lives in Equador and he said it's not a good idea to drive from the northern part of equador into the south western part of Colombia.

To make up for that dumb mistake; I know that Equador once stretched from one coast to the other, until a (disliked) president foolishly sold the land to Brazil.

So dude, you still hookin me up with some gasolina? 93 octane should bring the price up to what, $0.15 a gallon? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Holy snap that's cheap. I could fill up for 3 dollars on better than premium. Man....

Your best bet would probrably be to find a local school that will host you. Since you will obviously have to reassemble your car, it would be a lot easier in a school's lab. We hosted the Brazilian team last year and most likely will this year too and it worked out decent for them.
