Hi,
I am currently investigating the air flow around different brake rotor designs however am having trouble getting a working CFD model working.
I am currently trying to use ANSYS CFX's turbomachinery function to take into account the brake rotor's rotating reference frame. The brake rotor is located in a rectangular prism domain.
I have run the simulation however when trying to post-process the results, I am getting an error when trying to initialize which converts the rotating components from 'Cartesian to Turbo'. How should I define the inlet and outlet in the rotating brake rotor reference frame?
Can anyone enlighten me on where I am going wrong? Or an easier way to find the air flow around the rotor ?
Your help is greatly appreciated,
Nguyen
P.S. I have had a look at CFX tutorial 12: Flow in an Axial Rotor/Stator
