About how much chassis roll do you guys design for when configuring the suspension geometry? 2*,3*?
Thanks,

around 1 to 1.5 degrees / g, and 1 to 1.5 g's.

Hi,

We started from scratch, so not knowing what degrees per g we would end up with when we design all the rates, we designed for 2 degrees at steady state max cornering load. For a 1200mm track this gives 21mm of travel of bump at one end, and droop at the other (assuming central roll centre). If you're using the one inch bump and droop then you cant really have any more roll than that allows.
Anyhow, from what I understand these cars CofG is so low that if you have some half sensible geometry, and springs soft enough that they barely stop the car bottoming out over anything, you still probably won't end up with 2 degrees of roll, let alone if you use some substantial antiroll bars.
