I (or we, actually, the ergonomics team at ELiTH Racing consists of sex students) haven't found The ergonomics book for FSAE, instead we combined multiple sources.

A standard ergonomics handbook will get you far, combine it with some of Colin Ware's books on perception (the one that's doing the instruments will have a whole lot of interesting reading there) and an 80s title called "Automotive Ergonomics" IIRC became our base.

I can also advise you to look into work on fighter cockpits, you might find useful information there.

Ouch, sleep depravation and english as a second language isn't as good of a combination as it sounds ... I meant six students, if we are sex students or not I choose not to discuss :P

Aakash2,

A quick google search turns up an FSAE paper and a website with some quick tips

I've been doing the ergo design for my team for a few years and there is a definite lack of race car specific information. But that is just my observation. I think that the best resource would be a seasoned driver or crew chief.
