Hi there,

Is anybody else, or has anybody else used the CBR 600 RR (04) engine? If so, how did you go about getting around the HISS? Am I right in thinking that a new after market ECU would take care of this problem?

Also, does anybody have and intake and exhaust geometry for us to check ours against?

Cheers Chaps!

I´m sure that many teams use this engine.
and it will be a nice resource for new teams if someone share a model---

Did you google it? There are some CAD models

There's an RR model in the shared CAD model directory. Also, I know that UWA, among other schools uses (or used) the RR.

We use the engine. But i can't tell you somthing about the HISS. There was no. I think there is no HISS at the bikes in europe. But it should not matter if you replace the ecu, like you said.

PE is compatible with the RR, I believe. It's a great, cheap, easy to use ECU.

We use the CBR600RR engine also. We bought our engines with no loom, which was perfect for our Motec installation.

Solution to security devices? Tear the loom off the engine and throw it in the bin. Then build your own with a dedicated EMS.
