I thought I heard someone say at the FSAE roadshow that every member of the team has to be able to drive the car. Is this true? We have a 6'9 guy on our team and he is definately not in the 95th percentile. Clarification on this would be appreciated.

Just don't have that guy drive in the events and you should be fine.

At competitions I've attended, the tech inspection stewards will ask all of the team's designated drivers be present and them pick the biggest guy to perform the emergency egress.

Other than that the largest driver must also fit withing the 2" helmet rule(along with the Percy Driver Template specified in the rules).

So, no, your 6'9" team member does not have to be accomodated in your chassis. But if he is your fastest driver its probably in your interest to find a way of fitting him.
