Hall of Fame Racing is a Nascar Nextel Cup team located in Charlotte NC, owned by Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboy quarterbacks Tray Aikman and Roger Staubach. We are sponsored by Texas Instruments DLP HDTV division and the car is driven by Tony Raines.
We are seeking an engineer to work on development and application of our shock program immediately. The position would be in the engineering group (featuring 3 FSAE alums) and would require extensive travel during the race season and test sessions. You would report to both the lead engineer and the crew chief.
Job description would include building and maintaining shock inventory at each Nextel Cup race, performing research and development including EMA dyno testing and 7 post rig testing, integration of new ideas and results from testing into setups, data analysis and reduction.
Successful applicants would be highly motivated, have extensive computer skills in excel, matlab, and data acquisition. We can teach the right person the ins and outs of building the dampers, what we are looking for is the right attitude and technical aptitude to fill this job.
We offer competitive benefits and salary, all the normal packages you could expect from a large scale employer. This is a traveling position on the race team, so expect 120+ days a year of travel with very little time off. As stated the position is vacant immediately, i am trying to fill this spot in the next month.
please email resumes with a (very) brief cover letter to bthomas@hfr96.com.
thanks,
Brandon Thomas
