That Northwestern University will be competing in FSAE West this year as a first year team. We hope to erase the contradiction at our school that we have a Ford building yet no one gives a damn about cars.
I along with the rest of my team have substantial reading to do here, and we look forward to sharing our ideas with the community.
In anticipation and excitement,

We are moving at a steady pace right now. We spent the first 3.5 months of the year fighting the administration to let us have this group. But now that is mostly sorted out(keyword: neverending). We have designs going through final revisions and we are ordering tubing and suspension parts this week. Last september, this thing was just an idea, and now we have the school's blessing, allocated shop and office space, and a staff ready to help us out. So although we may be a little behind in building the car, I am still extremely confident in the team we have to get one together.

Congrats and best of luck.
P.S. dont worry about being behind, every team is behind every year.

Frame about about 25% complete of final build, suspension a-arms in progress, rear uprights almost on CNC, axles being made, diff casing completely modified, steer system being put together, engine running (thank God) and exhuast and intake being made... a little behind, but I think we can pull it off.

Good luck to you guys, we just started a new FSAE team this year up at Marquette University and are having all the administration problems as well. It sounds like we are a little further than you guys in the building process, but I dont know about how good everything we turn out really is.. oh well good luck!
