I have been working on so 3 view drawings made in Solidworks and trying to properly dimension them. I have come across an odd problem that has stumped our school's guru and me and him have had no luck in the help files.

Whenever I go to dimension anything the program not only displays the numerical value, but also the "full name" of the dimension. For what I am working on, the full name is not only irrelevant but is a hindrance by making everything far to cluttered. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Open options, under general, be sure "show dimension names" is unchecked. If this doesnt work try the "reset all" button at the bottom. Careful though if you have other things customized.

Wow, that was so simple we never thought to look there. Thank you for your help.
