Hello
what is the optimum ture temp for hoosier or teh other 13" FSAE tires
what is a goos tire pressure to start?
We start with 0.7 bar Tire pressuer and we get max 40 degree Celsius. not hot enogh for teh tires
any ideas ? infos.
It is urgent a stomorow we have the germany fun event at Porsche Leipzig and we need these infos

You should see 120F to 140F on Hoosier R25A's. If you're not getting that, drive like more of an ass http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

what is the metric conversion factor for the american "ass" driver, though?

agreed on (120F-140F) 50C-60C average temperature

remember the inside temperatures will be higher than the outside

probably (10F-20F) 5C-10C difference

depends on how much inside tyre wear you tolerate

we run the hoosiers around 10psi of pressure(.7) bars and get temperatures right between 140F and 190F(60-90C) when the track temp is about 100F(38 C). I'm not a big tire guy though so I'm not sure if you mean your actual tire is 13 inch run on a 10 in rim, or your running the 20 inch tires on a 13 inch rim. We had a blowout of a 20 inch rear tire when we dropped below .7 bars, so even if your centers are hot, don't drop pressure below that point or your getting into dangerous territory.

what do you guys do for the single-lap autox?
