Hi,

we are in the process of strain gauging the 07 car in to validate our load cases for design of the 08 car. (anyone who saw us at the skid pad in the UK will know why, haha).

I have searched but found nothing on the amplifiers discussed before. I was just looking for some general advice about amplifiers and logging equipment.

What amplifiers and loggers have people used and how accurate were the results achieved?

We are looking at using our DL1 logger with a SGA series 4 channel amplifier.

Thanks

Robert

AD7730 Bridge Transducer ADC (24 pin DIP)
found at http://www.futurlec.com/ICAnalogDevices.shtml

I just bought two of these. They will be here in the next week. I can let you know how it goes. If you are using a wheathstone bridge, (not sure how else you could do it) then these should do the trick. They are specifically designed for strain gauged bridges. There $25 each. If you want to measure more than one chanel, use multiple chips or use a multiplexer. Dont ask me how though...
