I am designing the brake system for our fsae car. There is a bit confusion. As per the design, for the initial 60% of pedal travel only regenerative braking work and mechanical brakes are actuated only after pedal is pressed beyond that 60%.
Now the confusion is that during the brake system tractive system is off so during the test there will be no braking for the intial 60% of pedal travel as there will be no regenerative braking. This will be like pedal will move freely without any braking intially for 60% travel during the test .
I want to ensure that is there any problem with this design.I just dont want to take any chance...
