wow, what material are they made out of and what coatings do they have, never seen that color before.

What the hell.. sure aint plain steel. You'd think a ceramic coating wouldn't really glow, certainly not like that, at exhaust temperatures (though hey what do I know). Never seen Titanium around 70% Tm, and its a common enough engineering material youd think would be used for exhaust.

That would totally add to the unrivaled sweetness of Ti if it glowed purple like that

some places do colored ceramic coatings maybe thats where the purple comes from? a blue coating?

The color I'd think wouldn't matter. The light given off is a function of the generic base material.. I think.

But even Tungsten glows orange..

Conspiracy!! We all know digital cameras, being digital, are perfect.

I want the purple glowey metal! I want to machine that down. Run it at some ridiculous speed with air blast and watch the glowing purple chips fly off, and probably explode. Or better yet, implode into oblivion. Because theyre so crazy

CCD's are sensitive to infrared light and the camera makes this out the a weird purpley color.

Can also be done with a single cilinder, first part of exhaust is titanium.

Yeah, Garlic's right. The camera for some reason didn't catch the right color and made them look pink. To me, the actual color looks cooler anyway. They were very bright orange, and the headers are made out of very thin Ti. I'm totally in love with them. I thought they were the coolest thing about the car until We got our air shifter working, and no it reminds me of an F1 car. We've really made some progress this year as compared to previous cars.
