Stress testing in push rod

I am using a Compact Rio DAQ in order to determine the relationship between stress and the lateral acceleration. I have had a few problems with trying to learn how to use the cRIO and would like to know if other teams do similar testing. If so, what kind of DAQ systems do you use? I'm thinking that this testing should not be as hard as I am making it. Thanks.
