Hey guys, Does anyone know if you have to have panels that protect the driver from the environment on the sides of the vehicle? Our car has protection on the bottom already, which is kosher with the rules, but on our nose cone, we have an area of about 2ft x 1 ft that is open due to the suspension pickup points. Do we need covers for this open section? thanks!!

The judges have this "magic rock theory" that pretty much says that if you can see daylight inside the cockpit then a rock can work its way up through that crack, make its way along the cockpit, up the driver, and into the driver's helmet where it will take out both his eyes, and then go up his nostril to be lodged in his sinus cavity.

rats.... and what if we don't have these panels in? Will we not be allowed to run, or will we just get docked points?

if you can see light, you wont pass tech which means you won't be able to run
