View Full Version : Long exhuast pipes...

Hi,
Forthose teams with long exhaust, how do you guys manage to take it out from the chassis?This is the first time that my school is using such a long exhaust and aside from using some sort of steel band clamp to connect the secondary to tertiary, there is no other way of removing the exhaust...
Anyone can enlighten me?

Tight slip fit with two springs pulling the muffler onto the pipe. V band is another option.

I thought that might be what he was asking but I wasn't sure.

We did it for all of the joints on our 2004 car.
It worked very well (for the limited drive time we had).

Thanks for your reply. That just answered my question... Just one other thing, is your muffler also connected by springs??

Yep. Same system.
