Hey aprilia teams, we need some help again.
Our air temperature sensor just got f'kd up and we couldn't find another one available. I know this is not the clean solution, but I need some signal information. Could anybody please do some testing on the stock sensor and give me the output for some temperatures? I'm pretty sure is a linear response, but anyway...
My intention is to make a dummy sensor (voltage divider) to provide the ECU with a steady signal. I know that two of the terminals are +5v and ground (as far as I remember), so it won't be to hard to do so.
If anybody has a better idea, please let me know. We plan to resume testing tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure the aprillia sensor is NTC sensor.
As such the pins are more like sense + ground. The ECU measures the resistance to ground.
we never got any aprillia sensors with our engine, and use a after market with the MoTeC.
If it is a NTC, there are several different calibrations available. Perhaps its in the FSM?

Guys, out of curiosity, which ECU are you using with the Aprilia?

At Adelaide we're using the Motec M400 and we added a sync sensor off of the front cams exhaust lobe to run it sequentially.

hey guys, thanks for the replies but we just found a dealer that had the sensor.
anyway, we are running the aprilia stock ECU (Walbro ECU C1) with Tuneboy to modify the maps. Besides aprilias natural hunger for starter motors, its working just fine

Yeah, we also ran trougth a lot of starter too. Aprilia issued a new set of gear that are a bit more conservative. Try a get a hand on them, we haven't bust any starter since the change.
